Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow Lyons Mission and Principles
- Lead and organize the Safety Committee.
- Coordinate and conduct safety trainings (Forklift, Scissor Lift, Fire Extinguisher, First Aid/CPR/BBP, Emergency Response, etc.)
- Develop and update safety programs (LOTO, HazCom, PPE, Machine Guarding, Confined Space)
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure OSHA compliance
- Manage respirator fit testing, hearing conservation, biometrics, and flu shot programs
- Maintain First Aid/CPR certification and oversee first aid supplies
- Administer safety incentive programs (Safety Lotto, Safety PTO)
- Manage full-cycle recruiting including interviewing and candidate selection
- Create and post job advertisements across multiple platforms
- Source candidates through staffing agencies, schools, state programs, and social media
- Represent the company at career fairs and hiring events
- Maintain company career page and recruitment marketing efforts
- Track and log employee training records
- Serve as HR backup support for daily tasks
- Support employee morale initiatives and coordinate company luncheons/events
- Manage service award and recognition programs
- Assist with handbook updates and personnel file audits
- Order company swag and promotional materials.

- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to work in the office Monday through Friday, 45-50 hours per week and Saturdays as needed
Education and Experience
- 2+ years of HR, Safety, or related experience, manufacturing preferred
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
- First Aid/CPR/BBP certification (or ability to obtain)
- Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, and other related employment laws and guidelines
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, not required
